Welcome to the Stoughton Cooperative Bank, Stoughton’s only Hometown Bank. Stoughton Co-operative Bank is a full service, community bank serving individuals and small businesses in Stoughton and the surrounding cities and towns. The Bank was founded in March, 1886 as a Massachusetts chartered co-operative bank. Our original location was the current site of Pacheco’s Hardware in the center of town. A lot has changed in town since then. Stoughton Cooperative Bank has changed as well. The Bank has expanded to serve the growing community. The branch office at 20 Park Street, the site of the old Chicataubut Club, was opened in December 1952. In July 1972, that office was renovated and enlarged. In February 1989, to accommodate our increasing customer base, our 950 Park Street Main Office was opened.

One thing that has not changed is our philosophy to listen to our customers and respond to their needs. Our customers will never be “just a number” or a “face without a name”. A professional banker will always be available to provide the highest level of service.

The Board of Directors, management and staff understand the local community because we are a part of this neighborhood. In fact, Mr. Fortuna, President & CEO, became familiar with the Bank as a youngster delivering the newspaper and shoveling the walkway for the employees of the Bank. We continue to be involved today as an active sponsor in many community programs.
